Senate Citation

State Senator Alberta Darling presented the Germantown Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post 9202, with a Senate citation for their work for Veterans and the Community of Germantown and the surrounding areas. We were applauded for our work and the programs that the Veterans of Foreign Wars have for the youth of this area. Some of the programs are the Voice of Democracy which annually presents $3.5 million dollars in scholarships.

Certificate

Darrell Brown the Commander of Germantown Memorial Post 9202 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars presenting the Village of Germantown President, Tom Kempinski,  with a Certificate of Appreciation.    The certificate was presented on April 21, 2008 in appreciation for flying the POW/MIA flag in its rightful place beneath the American Flag at the Village Hall. The village was educated on the meaning of the POW/MIA Flag as this presentation was broadcast live on channel 25 “Government Access” in the Germantown Area.

March Meeting

At the Post meeting Past Commander Dan O’Toole received a plaque of recognition for his four years as the Commander of Germantown Memorial Post 9202. He also received a lapel pin for Past Commander, and a certificate of All-State Commander. I wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.
 
 
Ladies Auxiliary Sister Gerry Meyer was presented the Veterans of Foreign Wars Widows Pin at the March meeting.
 
 
 
The Ladies Auxiliary President Mary Brown presented Gerry Meyer with a 45 year membership pin. We found out at this time that she has been a member for a total of 48 years.

Marine Band

The United States Marine Band will be presenting two performances at the Milwaukee Theater located at 500 Kilbourn Street, Milwaukee, WI. The tickets are free however; you must personally pick them up at the Milwaukee Theater Box Office, Telephone (414) 908-6035. There will only be general seating so it is on a first come first serve basis. The first performance is April 11, 2008, at 8:30pm and the second performance is on April 12, 2008 at 3:30pm.
