Our transition to a new VFW Forms Site and direct electronic Report Filing has been completed, and the new system is ready to be put to work.
While fine-tuning and other modifications will be taking place over the coming weeks, the new site is quite functional.
There are some fine points to acquaint yourself with, and we suggest you click on the following link for some brief instructions before plunging in to the revamped system.
Thank you one and all for your patience and cooperation while we made these important changes and additions to our information processing capabilities.
The next phase of the upgrade will entail no interruption of services, and will result in easily accessed summaries of activities in all areas. These summary reports will be coming on line over the next few weeks.

New VFW Commander in Chief Glen Gardner's homecoming celebration kicks off this evening in San Antonio, Texas.Texas, as you hopefully all know is famous for many things, particularly in the San Antonio area. (Certainly, “Remember the Alamo” should be well etched from our history classes in our youth.)Event activities for the weekend include: "The Homecoming will kick off Thursday night with a Mexican Fiesta buffet...Friday night is a good, old Texas BBQ with live Country Western music (practice beforehand your line dancing)...On Saturday night, we have a formal banquet planned and dress for this event is tux with tails or formal evening gown. OK; maybe not that formal, but please respect the occasion and dress appropriately."
...we have contracted with a local tour company to provide interesting tours in and around the Alamo city for your sightseeing pleasure. For example, there is one where you can eat at the world famous Menger Hotel and drink a beer at the same bar Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders. The information above is included in the 2008 Commander in Chief Homecoming Book made available by the Department of Texas or by clicking the image above.

Your Wisconsin VFW WebCOM is currently undergoing some important upgrades.
Key among these is a revision of the online Forms system which has been growing steadily in popularity and use.
Over the next 24 to 48 hours, you will see some very useful changes which will enable you to enter information more efficiently and allow us to process that information and post updated results much more quickly than ever before.
Because these changes are somewhat complicated to install, some of you have already experienced a temporary disruption in your ability to report activity on line.
Please bear with us as we complete this critical transition. We recommend that your online reporting be held at least two days. We expect all online forms to be fully functional by Thursday, (9/4/08) and we are confident you will like the greatly improved system.
If you need to access other forms for downloading and printing, you may use THIS LINK temporarily. However, please do not submit any Post Action Reports until the upgrade is completed. We will post a notice on the blog to let everyone know when the new system is in place.
Thank you for your patience, and more importantly, Thank You for all you are doing for Veterans, their families and the Communities we serve.
Bill Knudson, Wisconsin VFW WebCOM Administrator
Dave Goeldner, Assistant Administrator & Community Service Chairman
