FORT McCOY TROOPS PICNIC GETS PROMOTIONAL BOOST

It started as a simple idea and has grown by leaps and bounds. The plan to put on a picnic for 3400 troops undergoing pre-deployment training at Fort McCoy has drawn support and encouragement from a variety of corporate sponsors and dozens of VFW members across Wisconsin.
Adding to the effort, TV Channel 18 of Eau Claire broadcast and interview with National Recruiter Pete Breed and 9th District Commander John Frederickson, adding to the pre-event publicity.

There is still time to get members of your Post on on board to help maket his special event an even bigger success. The troops come from all over Wisconsin, and so should our volunteers.
