Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) September 18, 2007 -- Just in time for Veterans Day (November 11th), the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) has unveiled a new online contest to honor Veterans.

All members of the public are invited to participate by creating a video honoring any U.S. military Veteran. Prizes in the contest include a trip for two to Orlando, FL, courtesy of Southwest Airlines Vacations, two Nintendo Wii systems, and gift cards to national retailers.

"Millions of Americans have a friend, family member, or loved one who is a Veteran. With the Honor a Veteran contest, they can now share that respect and love with the world." said George Lisicki, National Commander for the VFW. "Regardless of a person's stance on politics or the war, our veterans deserve to be honored for their sacrifice and bravery. This contest gives everyone the chance to do just that."

The deadline for the contest is November 3, 2007, and winners will be announced on Veterans Day, November 11th. Videos will be judged on creativity, originality, and how well they honor our nation's veterans.
