State Top Leaders Attend the 110th Annual National Convention

The North Carolina top leaders of the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, and the Military Order of the Cootie walked in the Patriotic Rally at the 110th Annual National Convention held at Phoenix, Arizona on August 15th through the 20th.

Dept of NC Honors Veterans on the 4th of July in State Capitol

For the past 13 years, the Department of North Carolina VFW has provided a wreath that is placed on the Veteran's Monument honoring WW1, WW2, and Korean War veterans during the 4th of July Capitol Celebration in Raleigh, NC.

This year was no exception. Shown below are three individuals who represented the Department of North Carolina in that honor. They are (left to right) James O. Roberson, Jr., District 7 Commander, Mary Brooks, District 7 VFW Ladies Auxiliary President, and Elree T. Smith, 2003-2004 State Commander and project coordinator.

State VFW Members Attend Veteran's Legislative Day

On May 13, 2009, the North Carolina State Legislature opened their doors to state veteran's organizations to meet with state legislators to discuss matters of importance to the veterans who claim North Carolina as their home state.

VFW State Commander Larry Flood along with other Past State Commanders, District Commanders, and State key personnel paid visits to many of the State Senators and Representatives.

The Winter Council of Administration was held in Raleigh, NC on February 6 thru 8, 2009. There were many activities, meetings, training sessions, and classes. Below are photos taken at the C of A and more will be posted as received and processed.
