We congratulate all the District winners in the Voice of Democracy contest for 2007-2008. They were presented to the State VFW Council of Administration Ball on February 9, 2008.

We wish we could honor all the youth that entered essays. They are all winners.

Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen Update

Dear Comrades and Sisters

This is to let you know what the deadline dates for the VOD Program and the Patriot\'s Pen Program will be. They are as follows (the same for both):

VOD Theme: "My Role in Honoring America\'s Veterans" (3 to 5 minutes, CD or standard cassette. No micro cassettes).

Partiot\'s Pen Theme: "Why I am an American Patriot" (300 to 400 words).

Deadlines: To the Post by November 1st, to District by November 20th, and to the Department Chairmans by December 10th. The State judging will be at State Headquarters on January 5, 2008 starting at 10:00 AM.
