All veterans from World War II through the current War on Terror are invited to participate in this project by telling their stories to the museum.  In addition to male veterans, the museum is interested in the women who served in or with the Armed Forces, or had experiences through organizations such as the United Service Organizations (USO), the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, or in defense related industry during Second World War. The Patriots Pen winner was 8th grader Eric Johnson who was accompanied by his mother and Ms. Dolores Paylor was the Teacher of the Year. [Intel/Recon], 30th STM Battalion) to have a Family Christmas party that was held in the Burlington NG Armory.  They fed more than 96 people and provided gifts to over 23 kids. District 10 Commander, "Buzz" Griggs, the National Guard Area Coordinator for North Carolina, was the key person for this activity.
