History of this Post: The Fred D. Craver-Arcadia, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10485 was mustered March 18, 1989. The post was named for a local World War II soldier Fred D. Craver. Sergeant Fred D. Craver served with the US Army’s 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division during World War II. Sgt Craver was killed, November 28, 1944 during the Liberation of Belgium. Sergeant Craver was laid to rest the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Belgium. Sgt Craver was awarded A Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster. We are working to expand our ranks with younger veterans. We are looking for all eligible veterans to come, join our post, and make it stronger. As our members of past wars grow older, we need to step up and continue to carry the torch that they have for so many years. It is our turn to make sure those who are entitled to their benefits receive them and continue to receive them. When Washington looks to save money or cut programs, it has been and will continue to be those monies and programs for veterans. We must continue to carry on the cause that our members have before us. Please join our ranks and help us help you and other veterans like you!
