On Monday, May 26th, 2008, at 5:30 PM, VFW Post 670 paid their respects to all the members of the armed force who gave their “Last Full Measure” for the United States of America in all the wars since the Civil War by placing a white, red, and blue flower on an alter by current and past officers of the post and it’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Post Commander Harvey Stewart, Sr.  was the Master of Ceremonies while Past Commander and current State Commander, John Shelander, incoming commander Clyde Vaughn, Past Post Commander, Gordon Craig, and Ladies Auxiliary President, Linda Shelander, placed the wreath and flowers on the alter.

Black ribbons were placed on crosses in honor of all the post members who passed away since the last Memorial Day ceremony in 2007. Guests also placed ribbons on the crosses in honor of family members.
