I am the Operation Up-Link chairperson for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of North Carolina. I reside in Spring Lake and my home phone is 910-436-5836. All requests for calling cards for Military who reside in or, are stationed in North Carolina must go through me and I must approve them. There are no exceptions. This way we can keep accountability for them. We try to have the family support group leader request them for the entire Company, Battalion or Brigade, this way we can ship them all at one time. We know and understand at times the units are split up and we will take those under special consideration. All requests must be on an operation up-link request form and fill out as instructed and sent to me at cjhelwar@aol.com (I have no funds to mail the form or cards). But I can email it to you, Once you have fill it out and E-mailed the form back to me, I will approve or disapprove the form and E-mail it to National. National will ship the cards directly to the Unit and or person that you request them for. Cards come in packs of (50). Each soldier is allotted one (1) card (at a time) but round of your request to the closet Fifty (50). I hope you understand that we must control these cards and we encourage each Post to make a donation to Operation Up-Link and we will continue to support our Military and thank them for what they do in keeping our great country free. |
