Larry Flood Assumes Command of State

On June 14, 2008, Past National Commander-in-Chief (1996-1997) James E. Nier installed the newly elected and appointed officers of the state and the 17 District Commanders of the North Carolina Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
Larry Flood, who hails from Post 9103 in Spring Lake, NC, became the 2008-2009 State Commander replacing John Shelander.
The following officers were elected at the state level before a standing room only convention of delegates and members.
