District 9 Announces Teacher of the Year for Grades 9 - 12

District 9 Teacher of the Year Chairman, John Negus, District 9 Auxiliary President, Marie Negus, and District 9 Quartermaster George Buck traveled to Pinecrest High School in Moore County to present the District Teacher of the Year (Grades 9-12) award to Ms. Elizabeth Adams Carter. Ms. Carter receved a certificare, VFW medal, and a monetary award.

The Pinecrest High School principal, Noel County, also received a certificate for the school's participation in the Teacher of the Year Program.

VFW Post 7318 from Southern Pines was the post sponsor for Pinecrest High School
