Home Depot offering Post Improvement Grants

The Home Depot has once again revised their grant program which is now entitled “Building Healthy Community Grants.“

VFW Posts are eligible to apply for up to $2,500 in Home Depot gift cards to be used for remodeling activities to their Post building.

CALABASH VFW HOSTS ANNUAL POST GOLF TOURNAMENT

Calabash VFW Post 7288's Annual Golf Tournament will be held Monday, November 9th at Sea Trail (Byrd Course). Tee time is 8:30 a.m. with a 7:30 a.m. show time. Following the golf there'll be lunch and refreshments, flight and course awards as well as door prizes at the Post, which is located at 900 Carter Drive in Calabash. The tournament is open to men and women. Cost of the event is $130 per two-person team and the deadline for entering is November 1st. Forms are available at the Post. Anyone with questions should call the Calabash VFW at 910-579-3577.

District 5 Supports Wounded Warrior Bike Ride

District 5 supported the recent Wounded Warrior bike ride from Hempstead, NC to Wilmington. NC recently. The district donated $400.00 for rooms that the riders needed while in Wilmington.
