Members of the Ava VFW Post 5993 Honor Guard along with members from the American Legion Post 112 Post the Colors at the Ava High School Veterans Day Program. The Honor Guard Post The Colors while the Ava High School Choir watches.  After the Posting, the Choir sang The National Anthem. After the prgram, Ava High School Students said Thank You to the Veterans for their Service. http://www.vfwwebcom.org/mo/post5993/77465/ Thu, 12 Nov 2009 09:02:00 -0500 http://www.vfwwebcom.org/mo/post5993/77465/ Members of VFW Post 5993 attended the Veterans Day Appreciation Day Dinner on Sunday, November 8th, at the Ava Victory Academy.  During the Ceremony the Post Members learned that the Victory Academy did not have an American Flag or a Missouri State Flag and were taking dontaions to purchase these flags for the school.  The American Chairman, Joe Mosklay, was able to get the flags and the Post dedicated the flags to the School on Veterans Day.  Honor Guard Commander Shannon Willhaus dedicates the flags to the Ava Victory Academy. Members of the Honor Guard are present at the Flag Dedication. Veterans were honored at the Ava Victory Academy on Sunday, November 8, 2009. William Wells in Springfield, Missouri on September 14th.  The Patriot Guard and the Honor Guard escorted SSgt.
