    Mountain Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3770 hosted it's regular bingo session on November 5, 2009 and had 98 players.  Cash prizes of $5178.25 were paid out during the 23 game session.  Four DownLine Derby Horse Races were run and all seemed to enjoy themselves.  The photos below tell the story.

Mtn Grove VFW Post 3770 Charity Bingo

    The Mtn Grove VFW Bingo session of August 6th, 2009 had a great turnout and all enjoyed a good time. Over $3860.00 was paid out in prizes.  There were seven post volunteers who attended to seventy-four players.  The post has an ambitious donation budget worked out for the year and really appreciates the players who come and help us raise funds for our projects.


    This nice lady enjoyed winning the "Bonanza" bingo game and won $500.  Congratulations are sent her way.  We wish to thank all those who participate each week, volunteers and players alike.

Mtn Grove VFW Thursday Night Bingo

    Mtn Grove VFW Post 3770 had a good Thursday night Bingo session on June 11, 2009.  Post paid prizes of $3,413.50 to 63 players.  The Bingo session to be held on June 18 will have the potential of someone winning $600 in a single game.  The Progressive Diamond Jackpot will be up to $600 if  a player completes the pattern in 27 numbers or less.
    Post and Ladies Auxiliary volunteers donating their time were:  Joe Kelley, Ed Hawley, Kenny Freeman, Harold Kingsland, Chuck Morgan, Allen Dodds Jr., Pete Proctor, Diane Freeman, Docie Brill, Susie Dodds and Leah Swanger.
    Some of the area's best people walk through our doors each Thursday evening to spend an evening playing Charity Bingo with us.  Post 3770 appreciates the players very much.  Without the loyal support of the bingo players we would not be able to raise the funds to do the things we do for veterans and in our community.
    June 11 saw the nice lady in the photos below win our big Blackout Jackpot and you can tell by her face how shocked and excited she was.  Post 3770 extends congratulations to her and thanks her for playing.


  If you would like to help the Post raise funds and enjoy a night out at Bingo come join us any Thursday.  Doors open around 4:00 p.m. and we start selling paper and pulltabs begin at 5:00 p.m. The regular games begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Arrive early and join the excitement of the Down Line Derby Game.

Charity Bingo at Mtn Grove VFW, April 23 - 09

     The above photos were taken during the April 23, 2009 bingo session at Mountain Grove VFW Post 3770. Bingo enjoyed 95 players, down 5 from last week's 100.  There was a total of $4,553.50 paid out in bingo prizes, with the largest prize being $700.00.  Every Thursday evening Post 3770 hosts bingo.  The Post enjoyed the efforts of 9 volunteers to manage the bingo games.  If you would like to share in the prize money paid out each week come join us for a fun filled evening of bingo.  Post 3770 has some of the friendliest volunteers and players in the area and I am sure you can enjoy yourself while helping the post raise funds for veterans, current service members, and the community.  The doors open each week around 4:00 p. m. and the bingo cards are sold beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Downline Derby Games start selling at 5:00 p.m. with the first one played as soon as all the tickets are sold.  The "Early Bird" Bingo Games begin play promptly at 6:30 p. m. but one needs to arrive early to get a good seat.  Phone number to the Post is 417-926-3669.  See you at the games.

Easter Bunny Visits Mtn Grove VFW Charity Bingo

    The Easter Bunny honored our Thursday night Charity Bingo with a visit.  The Easter Bunny went around the rooms and distributed small candy bars to all.  And some of us got a hug.

Mtn Grove VFW Makes Donation to Mtn Grove Senior Center

    Prior to beginning the weekly Charity Bingo games on April 2, 2009 VFW Post 3770 made a donation to the Mtn Grove Senior Center.  The Senior Center had recently burned and there was not quite enough insurance to replace all the items needed.  Shown above is Lyman "Pete" Proctor,current Sr-Vice Commander, presenting a check to Edna Jones, a member of the Senior Center board referred to as the "Mountain Climbers" in the amount of $500.  The Mtn Grove VFW Ladies Auxiliary had already made a donation in the same amount. These types of donations are one of the reasons that VFW Post 3770 hosts the weekly Charity Bingo games.  Thanks go out to our many loyal bingo players that help make this possible.
