Mtn Grove VFW Post 3770 November 10th Meeting

by IJK

Reggie Sonnenschein of Mtn Grove came by and enjoyed breakfast with us before the meeting and spoke of his plan to bring the US Navy band to Mtn Grove,  MO on February 20, 2008.  Mtn Grove High School will be providing a place for the band to perform.  Here he is shown explaining all about it to the members in attendance while they were finishing breakfast.

Three Rivers Hospice South of Mtn Grove was represented by Nancy Pineiro (L) and Candi Bartsch (R) who along with Jeff Bartsch (not shown) came and partook of breakfast with us and then gave a talk explaining how Three Rivers Hospice works and how they aid the dying and the living.  It aroused a lot of interest as many questions were asked.

Following the departure of our guests we were able to start the meeting, although we were a few minutes late.  We had 21 members in attendance and four guests from Ava VFW Post 5993, Irvin Reynolds,  Jerry Garrison, Richard Stitt and Post 5993 Commander Pat Anderson, who also enjoyed breakfast with us.
Post 3770 decided to pursue donating Skyline School a new flagpole as some felt it is not tall enough to hold three flags properly.  Committee to approach Skyline School Board members with the proposition.
Post 3770 decided to have pre-Christmas "Pot Luck" dinner on December 15th at 1 p.m.  There were some donations that were voted on but I will not place the results or amount here.
Paper Newsletter will be coming out later this month with full details.  If you have an item to place in the newsletter send it to the Quartermaster.
