MyVFW Missouri Launched
Posted at 09:17 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2011 by Post 3009
Participating VFW posts and departments enter the ninth year of online network development with the launch of the My VFW Missouri platform. As one of the first organizations to "go paperless" and to blog online, the My VFW Missouri Network up-dates and simplifies the enterprise of post and department community, commerce and communications tool online. We are encouraged by the success of the VFW WebCom Network and the way it has been received by veterans and members of the VFW to reach out and engage with communities and the Web.
Do you support your local VFW? Share your VFW efforts on My VFW Missouri. A service to the community, My VFW enables you to inform veterans and military families of programs and opportunities your organization and relationships bring, build and assist.
The My VFW Network deploys a platform that links to today's social networks, enables wider customization and provides tools not previously available. Publishing online is generally the same and it is easy to adapt and overcome the evolution with a slew of tutorials and assistance from fellow blogmasters within the organization ready to help guide you. Start by visiting My VFW Help Center (http://myvfw.org/helpcenter/). Once you are logged in to My VFW, you can follow along with video tutorials.
Web development is always a work in progress and we need your support improving that process. Become a contributor. Any member can contribute to My VFW. If you "Facebook," "Twitter", "Webmaster," "Blog," or are interested in learning, VFW posts need contributors and administrators to update post or program sites. Just fill out the "Launch Your Site" form if you would like to help with your post's community service online>
Attention Current Blogmasters: Post your content to My VFW Missouri. Do Not Post to your old site. Soon people will not be able to find you there! If you have any questions or need assistance managing your new sites, contact blogmaster@mo.vfwwebmail.com.
