Internet Hoax Alert Concerning VA Benefits

IMPORTANT NEWS TO VETERANS SEEKING BENEFITS

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 9, 2007--There is an urban legend circulating on the Internet and on blogs that is telling veterans they must enroll, or re-enroll, for VA benefits by Jan. 17. If the veteran does not enroll by then, then veterans will lose all benefits.

THIS IS NOT TRUE: THERE IS NO JAN.17 DEADLINE

This rumor has been circulating for years with different locations and dates. The current rumor is from a woman in Salt Lake City.
