April Survey

Last month's survey results:
"Do you think the military does enough to prepare children of service members for the stress of deployments?"
The results were split evenly. Some respondents felt that it was the parents' job, not the military, to prepare children for deployment. Others believed the military could do more to anticipate and address the needs of children. Here is a small sampling of responses:
- "The units I deployed with did a very good job. However, when dealing with children they will never fully understand. The best we can do is hope all have loving, caring support groups."
- "The military does nothing to prepare the children of service members for the stress of deployments. I know that for a fact. I have been there."
- "Why is it the military's responsibility to take care of my child? That is my responsibility, not the military's."
