Title: Drinking and Driving
Post by: DoggyDaddy on December 31, 2014, 03:51:25 pm
Hello All,
With New Years close upon us, I would like to share a personal experience with you, my friends, about drinking and driving.

As you know, some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time, often on the way home after a "social session" with family or friends.

Well, last night, this happened to me. I was out for a gathering with friends and had more than several glasses of rather nice red wine and a few quick ports before leaving the event. Although relaxed, I still had the common sense to know I was slightly over the limit. That is when I did something I have never done before - I took a taxi home.

Sure enough, on the way, there was a police roadblock, but since it was a taxi, they waved it past and I arrived home safely without incident.
This was a real surprise to me, because I had never driven a taxi before.

I do not know where I got it, and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.
So, anyway, if you want to borrow it give me a call.

Have a Happy New Year and "be safe out there”.

An elderly man is stopped by the police around 2 a.m. and is asked where he is going at this time of night.
The man replies, "I am on my way to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body as well as smoking and staying out late."
The officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time of night?"
The man replies,  "That would be my wife."

I went to the liquor store on Friday afternoon on my bicycle; bought a bottle of wine and put it in the bicycle basket.

As I was about to leave, I thought to myself that if I fell off the bicycle, the bottle might break. What a waste!

So I drank all the wine before I cycled home.

It turned out to be a very good decision because I fell off my bicycle seven times on the way home.
