I can't stand what they have done. Just leave it alone already.jQuery(document).ready(function($){jQuery(function(){jQuery("#msg_26705").css("min-height", "50px");jQuery("#msg_26705").hoverIntent(function(){jQuery("#msg_26705").css("overflow-y", "hidden");jQuery(".sharethis_26705").delay(100).fadeIn();},function(){jQuery(".sharethis_26705").delay(300).fadeOut();});});});Tweet

They almost reached a point where I will close my account and possibly the Missouri VFW Facebook Page.jQuery(document).ready(function($){jQuery(function(){jQuery("#msg_26706").css("min-height", "50px");jQuery("#msg_26706").hoverIntent(function(){jQuery("#msg_26706").css("overflow-y", "hidden");jQuery(".sharethis_26706").delay(100).fadeIn();},function(){jQuery(".sharethis_26706").delay(300).fadeOut();});});});Tweet

I gave up two changes ago.  Post pictures of my son for gramma and grandpa and friends to see.  It's too annoying anyway... makes me regret friending old friends (ok, dude, we were in the same unit for 4 months three years ago.... that doesn't mean I wnat to know when you wake up, have lunch and go to bed every day).jQuery(document).ready(function($){jQuery(function(){jQuery("#msg_26708").css("min-height", "50px");jQuery("#msg_26708").hoverIntent(function(){jQuery("#msg_26708").css("overflow-y", "hidden");jQuery(".sharethis_26708").delay(100).fadeIn();},function(){jQuery(".sharethis_26708").delay(300).fadeOut();});});});Tweet

The only reason I got into Facebook was to promote my post and the VFW WebCom Network but it has morphed into so much more.  I have made contacts with several friends I went to school with and long lost relatives, but even those connections have helped me promote my post.  I have been in contact with several deployed troops finding each other through FaceBook.  The really cool thing is I have recruited one of them and also one of my high school friends who lives several counties away and that is only two of the ones that have been recruited for our post simply because of the use of Facebook  It has helped us recruit for our Ladies Auxiliary also.  I have my account set to that "friends of friends" can read my posts and that gets me more exposure.
I have noticed that there are several posts on facebook now but I feel that is a mistake.  I feel that one should sign up personally and then make a 'fanpage' for the post.  I made one for my Dept and also one for my district.  I am able to post things on one of the 'fanpages' and it gets broadcast to all those who 'like' or 'follow' the page.  If one relies on a 'group' then the members of the group have to actually visit the group to get the latest.  I feel that the 'fanpage' is more effective for our purposes.
So as much as I dislike the new look to Facebook I feel it is important that we be where we can reach more veterans and troopers.  If you are going to 'connect' you have to be where people are and get out of the post bar.
Just my 2 cents.

Or, you can even connect in the "Post bar" if your Post is Wi-Fi connected!jQuery(document).ready(function($){jQuery(function(){jQuery("#msg_26717").css("min-height", "50px");jQuery("#msg_26717").hoverIntent(function(){jQuery("#msg_26717").css("overflow-y", "hidden");jQuery(".sharethis_26717").delay(100).fadeIn();},function(){jQuery(".sharethis_26717").delay(300).fadeOut();});});});Tweet
