For those of you who might have checked out the
template modification, you may have noticed a new link in the "Social" dropdown menu.
VFW WebCOM can now be found on Friendfeed at
http://friendfeed.com/vfwwebcomFriendfeed is a site which allows you to build your own custom news aggregator and link it up to your friends.
Basically, what I did was aggregate the news from VFW's National site, our main network site, the combined feed from all the post and district weblogs, our video platform feed, the latest activity feed from My VFW WebCOM and our Twitter feed all in one place.
Give it a look. You don't have to join Friendfeed to use it but you can if you like.
If you already have your
department toolbar, you won't see anything on Friendfeed that you haven't already seen, but it could be a useful resource for those occasions when you don't have access to your toolbar...i.e. on your phone, on a public computer, etc.
