VA drug scandal
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:49:27 pm »
Two Wisconsin veterans (so far) have died from overprescribed pain killers at a VAMC.  :(

What is the position of the VFW on the VA allowing or prescribing medical cannabis (marijuana) for veterans with PTSD?

Hi Jimmy:
Hope it is not too late to reply. I found below at Hero Answers. Maybe this can help.
VFW as a whole does not have a 100% this way or that way feeling about Veterans getting Marijuana to treat qualifying conditions.
They are however, being asked to act in some way and show what support that they can as a whole.
Some VFW members are finding ways that their post can be more involved and support fellow veterans that may benefit from Marijuana.

There are a few more links at Hero Answers. I added the link here, maybe it can help better.
