30:30-30:45 Discussion between Commander and Adjutant over preparation of food
30:45-31:05 David XXXXXX is recognized and starts to speak.
31:05 District Commander XXXXX asks David to step forward, as he can not be heard speaking clearly from the back of the room.
After walking to the front of the room, David XXXXXXX starts to speak again.
31:18-31:40 (DG-David XXXXXXX) My name is David XXXXXX, Lifetime member of Post XXXX. I would like the Adjutant and District 16 to launch a formal investigation into Post XXXX for it's un-ethical and unwarrented suspension and expulsion of Lifetime members of the post, without following due process and following the charter and by-laws of the VFW.
31:40 (EH-District Adjutant,) I would like to second that motion.
31:44 (WA) Can't do it.
(EH) Why not?
(WA) You have to send it in in writing. We have to have some kind of formal letter. After the meeting I'll show you where it is in the manuel and show you how to do it, but it has to be in writing.

32:02-35:44 (JP-Post Commander John XXXXXX) Members, Commander, Can I talk about that situation that Mr. XXXXXX has? Dave has been a member of our post probably for 3 or 4 years.
Came in strong,was very well liked.
And it wasn't too long after that, uh, did a lot of work around our post, which we appreciate, really fixed our place up. Did different things,
And then all of a sudden, Mr XXXXXXXX started spreading word around town, that he'd like to get rid of all the old foggies, and that really wasn't what he said. He said something a little bit worse than that.He'd like to get rid of all of us, and take over the post, is what Dave wanted to do.
33:06 So he spread word around town, broadcasted it all over, and like I said, he wanted to get rid of all the old members that have been running the post, including me and a few others, and I've been there for 51 years and it not's gonna happen.
33:26 So Sunday, over watching the Eagles play, and Dave hasn't been back….in the bar in 4,5,6 months.
33:42 He comes in, sits at the bar like nothing happened.
33:50 And I told Dave at the bar, I said he's really not welcome at our post and he would please leave.
33:58 Well. He got irate, and used such foul language at our post, at the bar, with 4 or 5 women at the bar. I mean foul language that I wouldn't even repeat myself.
So he went outside, came back in, and came face to face with me with more foul language. I mean bad foul language, in front of these women.
34:30 We reallly don't care, if this gentleman that just stepped forward here, we really…after what he's caused us, embarrasement to these women at the bar, we really don't wish that he would return to our VFW.
Maybe transfer to another post, or do something.
I mean his foul language, I have witnesses, my JR Vice was right along side me. My SR Vice knows exactly what Dave has been doing.
So I Don't know what stand Mr XXXXXXX has to get up and say what he said.
If he wants; to further that, we can handle this in house, if Dave wants to do it.
But, as far as I'm concerned, we really don't want him back at our post anymore, after the scene he caused last Sunday at our post, with 15 or 20 members, 4 or 5 women at the bar, and the language he used.
35:46 (WA) We Really shouldn't be doing this right now.
We should be going off through with a letter.
I just want to ask one question, and I'm not going to go any farther with it.
(WA directed towards JP) Have you taken his membership away from him?
(JP) No I Haven't.
(WA) Ok, that's enough. That's all I wanted to know.
36:04 (JP) Sir we have recorded the whole incident on tape …..partial statement drowned out with (WA) yelling at (JP)
(WA) Yelling…..That's ALL sir.
(JP) Ok
(WA) When I get the letter, than I will proceed with the investigation, if I think an investigation is warrented. I will give the person the section out of the manuel, he can read the manuel, go through it, and see how he has to proceed., but I need the letter.
