The second Friday of September I'm having a One Year Cancer Free Party. Have pretty much everything donated for a spagettii dinner and dance band. Thinking this post event will bring in new members

A lot of that will depend upon how you are promoting it. You might consider having an agency to donate their time and expenses to do onsite PSA Screenings and make sure that word gets out. Have a Veterans Service Information Table as well, and perhaps a State Veterans Service Officer. Have a well known Cancer Surviver as a keynote speaker.

Don't forget to Get the Ladies Auxiliary involved as well. Promote wearing pink. Have Pink ribbons avail to pin on everyone. Real Men Wear Pink, etc. Get local radio and TV involved. See what local VA Clinic/Hosp has for handout brochures.
Get prize donations from local and distant business and give them recognition as well for supporting the VFW and Cancer Awareness. Get Proclaimation from the City or County for Post and Aux Promoting Cancer Awareness. Ask Mayor or Supervisor to Present it.
If you're gonna do it ,
