Wake up call.  Let's get this board talking.

For those of you who have been both a Commander and Quartermaster, which job do you think was harder?

Both require meetings. I found performing the duties Quartermaster to be harder work and more stressful being responsible for all monies and property.
As Commander, the duties were more numerous and can be fun if you surround yourself with a good corps of officers and have the ability to lead volunteers and not fall into the trap that your in charge and start giving out orders. Coming up and implementing new ideas to bring recognition to the Post and ways for members to have fun is always a challenge.

I have to agree with DoggyDaddy but think I will add that as the QM I found I was able to perform most of the work needed on my schedule.  As the Commander I found that there were certain functions and meetings that I needed to fit my personal and work schedule.  As I work a full time job the duties as Commander probably made that position the more difficult of the two.

Both positions were rewarding ones for me and I found them to be equally challenging but in different ways.
