Operation Ranch Hand

(1/1)

byrnepat:
I am new here but NOT to real agent orange.
I am my husband's spouse. He can't be here because In Richmond Hunter holmes VA hospital
with  lifesupport because of a heartattack that took 17minutes to revive his heat to start.
He was in OPERATION RANCH HAND  Full of all dioxins they made.
This happened, just this past week.  Went to ER locally, with a swollen leg that was large blood clot.
I got on the phone to VA and got him transferred to Richmond. Virginia.  Upon arrival in an medical transport provided by the Va, it took only 20 minutes to get him there.  An emergency vehicle with lights and sound all the way.  This was arrival at hospital between 5 and 6 pm.
After they got him in a room and all hooked up to what they did,
He coded. they began all procedures to bring him back. not stopping even like what their suppose to
do at least after 5 minutes. They kept going and never left him. Giving oxygen all the time.
after and upon the 17minute mark , his heart began beating again.
We all know that what is said about 'brain dead',   But they kept giving him the oxygen the complete time. This is the God's hands  at work.
yesterday, New Year’s day, he opened his eyes. The nurse that was with him at the time,
called me and she herself was crying with joy. She said that only if he has brain power, this could happen.
He isn't out of the woods YET!

VFW opposes amendment that would change how presumptive disabilities would be determined.
July 20, 2011

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is adamantly opposed to an amendment proposed by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to change the manner in which presumptive disabilities related to exposure to Agent Orange would be determined.  The senator wants to require veterans to prove a positive connection between Agent Orange exposure and one or more of the 15 presumptive illnesses that the VA now recognizes.  We cannot allow this amendment to pass.

Vietnam veterans have suffered long enough from the effects of exposure to Agent Orange.  For decades we told the government that being exposed to Agent Orange made veterans sick.  Now that the VA Secretary has determined he had the scientific evidence required to recognize the disabilities, we cannot allow a change in presumptive rules just because the government can't balance its own budget.
