Detroit Marine killed in Afghanistan

Staff Sgt. Vincent Bell killed during combat

The Department of Defense announced Thursday that a Marine from Detroit was killed Wednesday in Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Vincent Bell, 28, was killed during combat in the Helmand province. He was signed to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.
