The installation of Post and Auxiliary Officers for the ensuing 2008-09 year was held at our May meeting. I extend my congratulations to our newly elected and appointed Post and Auxiliary officers. I now you will provide your duties with pride and honor. I am honored to have been elected your newest Commander. I know there is a lot of history in our Post and I will do my best not to let you down. When I joined this Post I asked myself four questions. What has our post accomplished as a veterans organization? What does our post want to accomplish in the future? What can we change or improve to make things run smoother in the future? and What can I do to help our post accomplish those goals? My duties and those of this incoming years corps of officers and Chairmen will begin June 25th. I want to thank all the members, ladies, their families and our friends for their support and trust that they have placed in me. Your membership adds to our spirit and our voice in California and Washington DC in protecting Veterans Benefits and Entitlements. Without you, the front door would surely be closed forever. In preparation of Independence Day, we will be selling fireworks 28 June thru July 4 at our Post. We will again be putting up the Avenue of Flags on the 4th of July starting at 6 a.m. and return back to the hall for a great breakfast. It would be nice to see some new faces, and donŐt forget we have to take the flags down at 4 p.m. Spread the word !!! Our July Post and Auxiliary meetings will be moved to Wednesday July 9th so not to interfere with fireworks sales and family gatherings. This will be the first meeting of the new VFW year. I asking for you to attend and volunteer where you can, even if it is just once or one activity a year. We have lots to accomplish and There is no limit to what can be accomplished if it does not matter who gets the credit. Emerson. I believe in the Open Door Policy and solicit your ideas, help, suggestions, and solutions to things that you consider problems, and ways to make our organization better. In Comradeship, David Ambriz, Commander. E-mail: davebreeze1238@aol.com0 Comments | Post Comment | Email This
