Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - City Cancels Fireworks Sale
The City Council listened to the Fire Chief, Emergency Services and the citizens of Watsonville. With over 500 fires burning throughout California and those now put out in Santa Cruz County, the sales of all fireworks in Watsonville was cancelled for the year of 2008.Our VFW Post and many other non-profit organizations depended on this fundraiser to pay insurance, taxes, and building improvements.
