Commander Day’s Homecoming

Roland Day’s year-long watch as the Commander of the VFW Department of Alabama is nearing the end of its third quarter (hard to believe ain’t it). On March 31st, Commander Day’s home Post (Post 668 in Birmingham) will host a “Homecoming Celebration” to mark the his very successful tour of duty as our State Commander. The ceremony, which commences at 7:00pm, will be held at Post 668, located at 1801 11th Avenue North. If you plan to attend and wish to spend the evening in Birmingham, the State Adjutant has made arrangements for reduced price rooms at the Birmingham Best Western Inn – Medical Center hotel located on 800 11th Street South, in Birmingham, AL. Call 205-933-1900 and mention VFW Function to make reservations and get the special pricing. There will also be a Council of Administration meeting held at Post 668, preceding the Homecoming Celebration. The Council of Administration meeting convenes at 10:00am.
