March Route and Schedule

The March route will go from the SC / NC Stateline (on Rt 301) and run to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. The Google map at: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1629888  may be zoomed for mile marker / route details.

The march will begin on March 1st, 2008. Duration of the march will be approximately 16 days and the march movement will progress at a rate of approximately 25 miles per day.  The route will follow Route 301 through North Carolina and into Virginia and move from Rt 301 to Rt 1 in Richmond VA.

The summary belows provides and overview of the daily march segments. Please see the links and maps for each days route for greater detail.

Please see the Maps for each day of the March in order to determine when the March movement will be going through a particular area.

Each days march segment will be divide into four increments with a mid morning break at about 0945hrs, a noon lunch break at about Noon for one hour and an afternoon break at about 1515hrs. In other words; the first quarter of the daily segment will be from 0730 to about 0930hrs, the second segment will be from about 1000 to 1200hrs, the third segment will be from 1300 to about 1500hrs and the fourth segment will be from about 1530 to 1730hrs.
